TIRANA, Jan 13 – Reporters Without Borders has criticized Albania’s government over the closure of the TemA daily newspaper.
“We urge Interior Minister Bujar Nishani to comply with judicial decisions to allow Tema’s journalists into their offices,” the watchdog said in a news statement. “We also urge the government to stop using the state apparatus to harass the press.”
The New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists has also reacted to the government seizure of Tema’s offices.
