TIRANA, June 27 – Res Albanicae, a magazine published every six months, has been launched in Italy as a publication issued by the Albanology Departments of the Universities of Calabria and Palermo. Professor Francesco Altimari of the Albanology Department in Calabria says the publication is aimed at bringing together Albanologists from all over Europe and create new linking bridges between Italy and other countries where Albanology is rooted.
Prof. Matteo Mandal of the Palermo Albanology department says the magazine also aims at establishing an international Albanology network which includes Albanology departments from all over Europe. “The scientific committee includes German, Russian Albanology departments and experts from Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Kosovo and Italy as well. This is the basis to create a scientific system where future Albanologists will be included,” Prof. Mandal
