TIRANA, July 7 – A week after the June 28 parliamentary elections allies of the Alliance for Change led by the Democratic Party of Prime Minister Sali Berisha have started to voice their demands on the new cabinet.
Sabri Godo, honored president of the Republican Party, said that the grouping would like to have again an important cabinet post and also preserve the posts in the administration covered by the Republican-affiliated officials. Republicans have the health minister’s post.
At the same time Lufter Xhuvelli of the Agrarian Environmentalist Party also said that Berisha and the Democrats should respect the deal they had signed before the elections, thus meaning a cabinet post. Environmentalists have the agriculture ministry post.
That will make more difficult the job to the premier who should at the same time take care of fulfilling the demands of Ilir Meta of the Socialist Movement for Integration, the determining factor to have a quiet governing in the next four years.
