TIRANA, Dec. 6 – A dance performance by Spain’s OtraDanza company, opened the 9th edition of the Tirana International Film Festival this week. Brought by the Spanish embassy in the frame of the fifth Spanish Cultural Autumn in Albania, the OtraDanza performers were the special guests of TIFF 2011 with their performance.
OtraDanza is a a project with interdisciplinary artists with the courage to open new windows and different views of dance. It is a new space for art proposals, a platform with a common passion: dance.
“Coming back, rewinding, deconstructing, looking from another side. The bodies are an essential part of this performance where the physicality and the poetry are combined to flow in the scenic space. A pure and elegant place in a hypnotic world, a universe that changes constantly through the light. Six dancers transforming the space with their energy, changing and calming it,” says the Spanish embassy about the dance performance in a statement.
