STRABAG to kick off further investments in Albania

A delegation of the Austrian STRABAG Company headed by Mr. Hans Peter Haselsteiner, chief executive officer, visited Albania and held meetings with high Albanian officials including Premier Sali Berisha.
CEO Haselsteiner congratulated said that his Albania visit implies his company decision about kicking off investment projects in Albania. The infrastructure boom in Albania, according to him, has encouraged STRABAG to participate in several competitions.
“We shall keep on taking part in the other competitions that will be held about building of roads in Albania because we find this country as the most attractive for increasing our investments.”
Besides participation in competitions for building of public roads the STRABAG Company expressed its interest in the concessionary form of infrastructure investment. Being one of the largest companies in Europe in the construction industry, this company has also financial potentials to undertake major projects for construction of roads.
STRAVAG plans to participate in important competitions such as the Tiran뮅lbasan road or other major works like those in energy sector (Skavica HPP), or in portual infrastructure (Port of Vlora).
In addition, STRABAG Company announced it will take part in the concession-type competitions for the maintenance and management of the road infrastructure. In this context, PM Berisha confirmed that his government would begin the road management through private concessions on Tiran뮄urr쳠segments and others under construction. The interest and participation of the major companies in these competitions, said the prime minister, adds to the success rates of these projects.
STRABAG is one of the largest European construction companies with an annual 11 billion euros turnover and projects in many countries of Europe.
