TIRANA, April 28 – A 16-year old girl from the southeastern town of Maliq died after hemorrhage following a tonsils surgery.
Matilda Petriti was found with an artery damaged after the surgery and could not survive after three other surgeries.
Her parents have filed a penal case against surgeon Xhevahir Hoxhallari, who said he was professionally and legally clean.
Prosecutor office has already started an investigation collecting all the documentation from the private clinic owned by the surgeon and also that of the hospital in Tirana.
