TIRANA – Ten international theatrical troupes participated in the “Albamonos” international monodrama festival held from May 17 to 21 in the southeastern city of Korca. The fifth edition of the annual festival brought together actors from Greece, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Kosovo and Albania performing contemporary and classical monodramas.
Some of the dramas were performed in tourist areas of the region of Korca such as Voskopoja and Dardha villages and the neigbouring lake town of Pogradec.
The festival also brought the Macedonian days with three dramas performed by theatrical troupes of this neighboring country.
According to Dhimiter Orgocka, the festival’s art director, the ten theatrical troupes were carefully selected from 32 international troupes which had applied to participate in the festival. A jury composed of five international artists will award on Friday prizes for best actor.
