After the collection of poems, “The Children of Nature,” by the well known Albanian poetess Luljeta Lleshanaku, another book by this author has been published in Italy by the LietoCole Publishing House. The curator of this publication, Silvio Aman, in his introduction says, “We find ourselves reading poems of commitment and great density, poetry that is so far removed from an idyllic spirit, as the title also shows, but also removed from the acrobatics of experimentalism.” There is a selection of thirty poems, translated by Rosnagela Sportelli and a foreword by the translator. For Sportelli, “Antipastorale” is her second project, following the anthology of contemporary Albanian poetry entitled, “In forma di parole” published in 2002. ‘Antipastorale’ by Lleshanaku is her second publication in a foreign language following the “Fresco” summary published in New York in 2000. The Italian Publishing House Lietocolle was founded by Michelangelo Camilleri. Although not a very big Publishing House, several well known Italian poets of today such as Maurizio Cucchi, Alda Merini, Franco Loi, Maria Corti, Antonella Anedda, Fabio Posteria are all part of its editorial policies. Works by foreign poets are frequently published.
