Theft and drug traffic dominate police arrests

TIRANA, April 25 – Fighting theft and drug trafficking have remained the two main issues of concern for police in the last week.
Police arrested Fazan Palushi, 20, in Tirana who in collaboration with Bajram Peposhi, 23, had exploited for prostitution E. A who gave them 3,000 leks for each sexual act she had. They were also arrested for considered as suspects in certain thefts in the capital.
Klodian Takaci, 32, was arrested in Tirana for stealing some 120,000 leks from another person. Police also found 40,000 false leks with Takaci.
Luciano Belino, 25, resident in Vlora, was arrested for theft. He was arrested after stealing a 100 euro from a bus passenger in Tirana.
Rei Pinari, 22, Bledar Mema, 21, Erjon Keta, 24, Elton Sako, 24, and Lorenc Ushe, 23, were arrested in Tirana for creating public noise when they started to vioalte the public order following a lot of drinks.
Piro Bregu, 42, was arrested together with Marenglen Halka, 26, for drug trafficking. Dashnor Tota, 20, was stopped at Rinasi Mother Teresa international airport for trying to leave the country with false Polish visa.
Bashkim Hoxha, 35, was arrested in Tirana while trying to illegally take put of Mother Teresa hospital in Tirana with stolen medicaments. Egli Gj, 16, Taulant M, 17, and Festim Vrapi, 20, were arrested after they had stolen a laptop, 100,000 leks, 1,640 dinars and some jewelry at an apartment in Tirana.
Ilir Hajdari, 24, was arrested for attempted murder together with Albert Hoxha, 25, a person in Tirana. Hoxha is still at large. T D, 37, was arrested for corruption in a public post.
Maringlen Kajo Halka, 26, and Piro Mihal Bregu, 42, were arrested Saturday for drug trafficking following some previous arrests. Police have arrested 13 persons following sequestering 15 kilograms of heroin and 561 kilograms of marijuana in two operations codenamed Karaburun and Vjosa 2007.
