TIRANA, Dec. 8 – Arjan Paskaj, a top officer of the taxation police, was arrested last weekend during an operation codenamed Last Fine, which had previously resulted in the arrests of five other taxation policemen. Paskaj, 39, was heading one of the taxation police sectors in Tirana.
Paskaj was accused of passive corruption.
More than 30 top officials have been arrested this year and accused of corruption.
