TIRANA, May 1 – More than 100 travel agencies from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia participated in the Touristic Albania trade fair held in Tirana from April 25 to 27.
Speaking at the event, Albania’s deputy Tourism Minister Abaz Hado said pan-Albanian tourism would be the novelty of this year performance.
Some 33 Kosovo companies operating in the tourism industry also participated in the three-day event.
Meanwhile, the Labour Ministry says around 1,000 job opportunities were offered to Albanian jobseekers this week in another three-day job fair held in Tirana. In more than 100 stands, the country’s biggest enterprises, including universities and vocational training centers introduced their offers, mainly for qualified jobseekers.
The fair was organized by the labour Ministry and the National Employment Service in cooperation with private entrepreneurs.
“In close cooperation with businesses, the Labour Ministry has managed to employ 59,000 people in the past four years despite the severe pressure of the global crisis over the Albanian economy,” said Labour Minister Spiro Ksera.
