Training for journalists offered from EJI

TIRANA, Feb. 27 – Albanian journalists were invited from the UNDP in Albania to take part at a training organized by the Fund for American Studies presenting the 4th annual European Journalism Institute (EJI). That is to be held in Prague, Czech Republic in July 7-15. Highly qualified journalists and students may take part at the training. Participants will have a generous scholarship and they have first to pay $200 each. The training will try to respond to a growing recognition that journalists must be empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to objectively report on a variety of business and economic issues. Participants will take part in social and networking activities while creating new professional relationships. The training will cover the role of government in economy, environmental regulation, globalization, the functions of the price system, health and welfare economics, international trade.
Applicants can apply before April 5, 2007 online at www. tfasinternational.org to find more details of the program. They will be chosen on a rolling basis.
