TIRANA, Oct. 11 – Young actor Tristan Halilaj has been selected as Albania’s candidate for the 2012 Shooting Stars for his starring role in the Forgiveness of Blood.
Halilaj, who is currently studying acting in Tetovo, Macedonia, will be the second Albania actor to compete in Shooting Stars after Nik Xhelilaj who this year was selected as one of Europe’s top ten acting talents.
In the Forgiveness of Blood, Halilaj stars as a teenage boy who along with his sister in northern Albania are forced to abandon their dreams after suddenly finding themselves drawn into a terrible vendetta, in his first acting experience.
Selected from a ‘longlist’ of 25 candidates proposed by member organizations of European Film Promotion (EFP), the ten young actors are chosen by a jury of established film industry professionals for their outstanding work in feature films.
