Tropoja hosts Sofra Dardane festival

TIRANA, June 18 – Hundreds of folklore artists participated in the Sofra Dardane festival in the northeastern town of Bajram-Curri, Tropoja district, last week performing in the local stadium and streets.
Sofra Dardane is a traditional, three-day festival celebrated every June that hosts about 60 folkloric groups from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia. Sofra Dardane honors the northern Albanian culture with concerts of traditional clothing, dance, and song preformed by community members of all ages. Sofra Dardane is typically the first weekend in June.
