Turkey welcomes elections in Albania

TIRANA, July 4 – Turkey welcomed a secure and stable general election in Albania, according to a statement from the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
It welcomed the recent general elections held in Albania in a secure and stable atmosphere.
“Turkey also welcomes that the general election was held in line with fundamental democratic standards,” the statement said.
The ministry said that Turkey would continue to support Albania, which had made great progress in democracy, stability and development.
“We are ready to improve our perfect relations and cooperation in coming days,” the ministry said.
Turkey believed the elections and the government to be formed after the elections would help Albania become a factor of stability in its region with a balanced and constructive policy, and raise the prosperity of the Albanian people.
