TIRANA, April 6 – A 10-member delegation from the Turkish General Staff led by General Hasan Memişoğlu visited Albania last week and met with President Alfred Moisiu, Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Defense Minister Fatmir Mediu. President Moisiu and other Albanian officials praised Turkey’s contributions to the reform process of the Albanian army and thanked Turkey for supporting Albania’s membership to NATO. Turkey is a key supporter and donor to Albania’s army reform and its integration efforts into NATO.
