TIRANA, May 29 – The difficult living conditions and discrimination of the Roma community in Albania has been featured at the National Museum of History in the “Under the same roof” exhibition. The exhibition comes after the Civil Rights Defenders organized a competition.
At the end of May several exhibitions depicting the life of Roma opened at different locations throughout the Western Balkans. “The faces on the pictures change, but the portrayed reality remains the same”, says Goran Miletic, Programme Director for the Western Balkans at Civil Rights Defenders.
The photo competition and the following exhibitions are all part of the project “Strengthening visibility of the most discriminated groups in the Western Balkans” which is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy.
