Violin virtuoso Olen Cesari performs in Tirana

TIRANA, Dec. 18 – Italy-based, Albanian violin virtuoso Olen Cesari was in Tirana this week performing parts from his Unexpected album. The concert at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet brought performances from Unexpected, Olen’s first solo album containing nine great classics and four new compositions
“Unexpected is a musical excursion that thrills and enchants, a melting pot of sounds, voices and colours that evoke faraway lands. A journey on the notes of a violin that reaches deep down in one’s soul.” After performing on December 19, Olen Cesari is scheduled to give another performance on Friday, December 20 at 20.00.
After the release of his album “Unexpected” Olen Cesari and his group the International Clandestine Orchestra continued to tour live in Europe. Olen has made appearances in Albania, Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Slovenia, Mexico, Cuba and the United States of America.
Olen Cesari and his violin also feature in the video album of the “Anthem of Europe” released in the occasion of the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the European Union.
Born in Durres, Albania, Olen begins to study violin at three years of age guided by his mother, herself a concert violinist. Granted a scholarship, in 1989 Olen moves to Italy and begins an intensive classical music tour,
Olen has a great love for movies and in particular for writing soundtracks.
