Vlora businessman found dead

FIERI, Sep. 1 – Genc Abazaj, 37, was found dead in Fieri four days after he had been gone missing.
Abazaj, a native from Vlora district, had been an immigrant to nearby Italy where he also had a construction business. He had returned to Albania for a vacation with his children. He was divorced.
He had left home four earlier, allegedly going to Elbasan, but gone missing and not answering phone calls. His family had asked police to try to find him.
His murdered body was found by a shepherd near the Vlora-Fier road. Killers had shot him and then had also tried to burn his body, which made it very difficult to identify.
Police are investigating many leads to find the reason for his death but none could be confirmed at the moment. Family members suggest his friends as friends as possible suspects in an effort to get money out of him.
