TIRANA, Jan. 28 – Genc Radovicka, head of the national register at the general department of the civil registry, told reporters Sunday that the preliminary digital copy of the voters list had been completed and is ready for the Feb./ 18 local elections. The total number of the Albanian voters was 2,932,938, according to Radovica. That made up 61 percent of the total number of the country’s population, he said. But strangely, that increases the number of the population to 4,231,945. The official census held by the Institute of Statistics has set the figure of population to about 3.2 million persons.
