TIRANA, Feb.15- Salaries will be taxed more during 2008 bringing a revenue to the state budget of $ 75 million. This increase will be mainly due to the contributions form Income Tax which is no same for all salary levels, at the flat rate of 10 percent. The salaries of low levels are taxed now three times more the previous levels. For the second half of 2007 when this rate was applied the increase in state funds was considerable. The government excluded the minimum wage form this tax, Albanians are not taxed over the first 10.000 lek of their salary. The total annual revenue from profit tax for 2008 are expected at 14.4 billion lek while those form income tax are expected at 16.2 billion. Compared to 2007 the increase from income tax collections is 6 billion while profit tax revenues go down by 8.5 billion.
