TIRANA, Feb. 15 – Police said they had arrested four persons for illegal trafficking and possession of weapons.
A police operation codenamed Phone Traders arrested Kanan Tajar Xhakollari, 23, Lulzim Xhaferr Qamo, 28, Astrit Myqerem Zylyftari, 23, and Asllan Belul Plaku, 18, all residents in Durres.
A police statement said that in colaboration with each other they had bought weapons and ammunition which they aimed at trafficking, selling to other persons in neighboring Greece.
Police said they had found four Kalashnikov automatic rifles and two TT pistols.
The four were in agreement with another person who was arrested some days ago in Gjirokastra, close to the Greek border.
