World Bank: $19 million for secondary roads

TIRANA, May 7, 2008. The government
of Albania approved the agreement
with the International Development
Association (part of the World
Bank) for the renovation of secondary
roads. According to the agreement, IDA
is going to finance 12.2 million SDR
(Special Drawing Rights) equal to around Euro 19.3 million for the
renovation and improvement of secondary roads in Albania. The
sum offered by the World Bank is much less than it was promised by
Prime Minister Berisha 9 months ago. (Tirana Times Staff)
