Xhevahir Spahiu is awarded poetry prize in Tetovo

TETOVO, Dec.3- The first national festival of literature from Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, held in Tetovo, ended with a prize awarded to well-known Albanian author Xhevahir Spahiu. The organizers of this event were the artists’ association “Pushkin”, which was the idea of poet Bujar Ganija -Plloshtani and journalist Valbona Zun襮 The event had more than 30 participants and six prizes were awarded in different categories. The sponsors included the Albanian and Southeast European universities in Tetovo. The prize titled “Poetry, The Art Of Word” went to Spahiu while “The Direction Of The Soul” went to the acclaimed Kosovo poet, Ali Podrimja; the special “Pushkin” prize went to the philosophical work of the Pogradec born Dhimit철Pojanaku; the prize “Shadow Of A Pen” for a legacy in the art of poetry, went to the Albanian Xhelal Tosku; while the sentimental poetry prize, “Fall”, went to Saranda born, Timo M쳫uri. Albanian poet form Macedonia, Remzi Saliu, was awarded “The Act Of The Soul” award for his motivation filled lines. The organizers expressed their joy and intention to continue this successful activity, which gathered literature lovers. The event will be followed by an anthology of poems submitted on this occasion.
