Young pianists compete for five awards

TIRANA, May 25 – Dozens of children and teens have been selected to compete in this year’s edition of the Young Pianist Competition. The competition scheduled to be held from May 27 to 29 will bring together talented pianists aged from 7 to 18 years old competing in five age categories. The festival’s organizers say they will also award two prizes for the best performers in honor of Hungarian composer Franc Franz Liszt and Italian pianist Filippo Trevisan.
The festival is organized by the European Piano Teachers Association in cooperation with the two art schools in Tirana. The Grand finale and the prize award ceremony will be held on May 29 at the Ministry of Culture premises.
