TIRANA, Oct 12 – Some 120,000 students started on Monday their new 2009-2010 academic year.
All top national officials took part in launching ceremonies around the country at various universities.
Prime Minister Sali Berisha was at the Kamza Agriculture University saying that the most ambitious and difficult objective to be accomplished was the doubling of the agricultural output in the country within six years time.
Many private universities have begun in Albania over the last few years.
The government aims at having some 150,000 students at the end of this mandate in four years time.
