2 Italians arrested for stealing bank cards

TIRANA, Jan. 13 – Police arrested two Italians, Luca Maria Calvi, 25, and Gabriele Pasqualino, 25, both residents in Genoa, after they allegedly withdrew large amounts of money in an illegal way from Intesa SanPaolo Bank street cash boxes, ATMs, using false plastic cards.
They were arrested while withdrawing money at one of the ATMs at 1 in the morning.
Following that police found in their hotel room a laptop and other tools they used to steal the money.
They had made some 750 transactions using some 250 false cards withdrawing an amount of 15 million lek.
A police statement said that was the second time they were engaging in the same criminal action in Tirana.
