2008 Ambassador’s Cultural Preservation Fund Grants

TIRANA, Dec 20 – U.S. Ambassador Withers hosted a formal signing ceremony for two cultural preservation grants.
The Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) is providing $7,800 for conservation treatment of prehistoric objects at the Medieval Museum in Kor襮
The U.S. State Department’s Bureau of European Affairs, Public Diplomacy Office, is providing $35,000 for conservation of a Roman Fortress in Grazhdan, Dib첮
Assistant Public Affairs Officer Leigh Rieder and Project Directors Alma Bardho and Luan P쳺hita signed the grants, and Ambassador Withers signed as a witness.
Former AFCP grantees and other conservation and preservation specialists also attended this important event for the preservation of Albanian cultural heritage.
