40 kg of marijuana blocked before crossing into Greece

GJIROKASTRA, June 10 – Police in the southern district of Gjirokastra prevented some 40 kilograms of marijuana from crossing into neighboring Greece.
Police at the Kakavie border crossing point found the drugs at a pyramid marking the border.
Police tried to stop three persons crossing the border on foot but they did not stop, threw away the bags with the drugs and escaped.(Tirana Times Staff)
