Peacekeepers in Bosnia return home

TIRANA, Nov. 4 – The 70-troop Albanian army unit that serves in the peacekeeping forces in Bosnia Herzegovina returned home after ending the six-month term. The welcome ceremony was held at Mother Teresa international airport. The contingent serves under the German command there. Albania has also other units in Afghanistan and Iraq. It has also said it will send another mission in Lebanon. These are part of Tirana’s efforts to achieve NATO membership.
