Banville, winner of “Man Booker Prize”, comes out in Albanian

After being tested in many languages, the book, “The Sea” one of the foremost successes of writer John Banville is now available to the Albanian public too. Rendered into the Albanian by translator Azem Qazimi and published by the “Dora d’Istria” Publishing House, the book went on sale last week.
Only one year ago, the Irish writer John Banville, with this novel, “The Sea” won the “Man Bokker Prize.” Banville is considered to be one of the most important authors of the end of the XX Century and the beginning of the XXI Century and a superb stylist. Professor John Suhterland, Chairman of the Jury of the Man Booker Prize describes this novel as , “A masterful search into pain, memories and love.” Banville has won many other prizes such as the “James Tait Black Memorial Prize,” “Allied Irish Bank Fiction Prize,” “American-Irish Foundation Award,” “Irish Book Awards Novel of the Year,” which he also won this year.
