MALESI E MADHE, Nov. 26 – Police stopped six persons, three of them children, from illegally crossing the border into Montenegro, where it was learned they had planned to go to beg, on Monday. The six persons were stopped at the Hani I Hotit border crossing. They came from the Tirana suburb of Yzberish. Police also arrested the two parents who were accompanying the children. A day earlier, Montenegrin police had turned back 29 Albanian citizens with irregular documents. Police learned that some of them had tried to illegally cross from Montenegro into western European countries. They were residents of Shkodra and other districts in the country. The previous Friday, police stopped Elton Gjini, 25, who was declared at large a month ago for illegal trafficking of stolen cars, at the same border crossing point.
