TIRANA, Dec. 26 – Dutchman Ari Haan is expected to be named the next coach of the Albanian national soccer team, which will represent Albania at the next qualifiers of the European Championship in 2012.
In a meeting in Vienna, Albanian soccer authorities have asked Haan to remain in the country to prepare a competitive squad.
Soccer officials believe the upcoming years should be used to train a good team to prepare the next qualifiers.
“There are serious problems with us and he should leave Amsterdam and his family to come and work here,” said Bujar Kasmi.
The other competitor for the post is Austrian Hans Krankel.
