Lushnja. Jan. 8- The children of the family of Astrit Gjata in the Fier-Shegan village of the Lushnja district have encountered parts of the skeleton of a soldier, which is believed to have fallen during World War II. The head of the family said that he is waiting for the Italian embassy to express his interests in claiming the skeleton. This is not the first time that this family finds a skeleton in its backyard. Last year Gjata found another one carrying even a medallion that identified him but he received no request form the Italian embassy. Gjata will exchange the skeleton in return for a family visa to Italy.
Given the repeated precedent, the family in the village thinks that if diggings are conducted in their land other skeleton might appear as the area might have been used as a grave. The second skeleton was found just a few meters form the site of the first one.
