Attempt to sell infant halted

TIRANA, Jan. 22 – The Greek press reported Tuesday that six people who had attempted to sell a 12-day old Albanian infant in Nikaia were arrested Monday evening.
The Albanian infant’s parents were among those arrested.
The parents had tried to sell the girl-infant to a Greek couple for 3,000 Euros.
Two other people were arrested during the incident, as they had been involved in the transaction.
The infant was transferred to the Children’s Hospital.
