Belgium to open consulate in Tirana

TIRANA, May 6 – During a
meeting held on Monday in
Brussels with visiting Albanian
Prime Minister Sali Berisha, the
Belgian counterpart Ives
Leterme said his government had
decided to open soon a representative
office in Albania, thus
marking an important step in the
visa facilitation process for Albanian
citizens.
Leterme also said the Belgian
government aimed at reducing
the visa fees for Albanian citizens.
Berisha considered that decision
excellent news for all the
Albanian citizens regarding the
facilitation of visa process, adding
that Tirana would take every
step for a quick full visa liberalization.
Both premiers praised the excellent
relations between two
countries and expressed their
common will for further strengthening
of these relations in fields
of mutual interest.
