KAVAJA, June 21 – Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha and visiting Kosovar Prime Minister Hashim Thaci paid a visit, last week, to Indrit Cara’s family in the central town of Kavaja. Cara is a martyr of the war in Kosova where he died as a 20-year-old.
Thaci and Berisha participated at the unveiling of Cara’s bust set in Kavaja. Cara was an immigrant in London in 1999, though preferred to return to Kosova to fight against the Serb occupation there.
Some Albanians actively took part during the Kosova war to help their brethren. Also, some one million Kosovar ethnic Albanian refugees were sheltered by their brethren in Albania proper.(Tirana Times Staff)
