TIRANA, June 28 – A 48-year old Greek national was sentenced to 25 years imprisonment for abusing five Albanian children in the northern Greek city of Salonika.
An Albanian, father of one of the abused children, was also sentenced to 20 months imprisonment for being aware of the case. He was said to be demanding the Greek man pay him 50,000 Euros so he would not report him to the police.
The case was made known in January 2007 in a town 80 kilometers from Salonika. The abused children were 9 to 17 years old.
