PODGORICA, July 7 – The Montenegrin police reported they have confiscated 2,350 cartons of cigarettes as they were being smuggled into the country.
The shipment was uncovered on the Shkodra Lake, which borders Albania.
According to police, a “metallic floating object”, six-meters long with an off-boat motor and 2,350 cartons of cigarettes, was found near the border.
There were two people in the boat who escaped in an unknown direction, according to the statement. (Tirana Times Staff)
