Albanian police did it again! Last week they stopped a Croatian citizen who was suspected of carrying 3 kg of cocaine through the northern Albanian borders. But after all the necessary examinations, it came out that the substance had nothing in common with cocaine or other drugs. The analysis showed that in fact the woman was carrying a special mixture of flour and starch. The woman was traveling form Albania to Montenegro and she was stopped by the police at the northern border of Muriqan in Shkodra, as they were signaled by the Lezha police-station that she might be carrying drugs in her car. The false alarm could have probably been intentional, in order to help another charge of real cocaine to go through the checkpoint.
Mirjana Nisanovic, 36 years old was stopped last Sunday as she was trying to go to Montenegro. It’s not the first time the Albanian policemen confuse other substances with drugs. The last time they confiscated a considerable quantity of powder paracetamol, as they thought it was cocaine.
