TIRANA, Sep 29 – Neritan Ceka of the Democratic Alliance Party, until recently a member of the opposition coalition, was voted as the new deputy of the parliament speaker to replace Fatos Beja of the governing Democratic party who was elected at the education minister’s post in July.
Ceka was proposed to the post from the governing Democrats.
Ceka is one of the founders of the Democratic party. He left it a year or so later after disputes with the leader, now Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Ceka has also said he cannot be again part of the opposition coalition blaming the policy of the main Socialist Party leader Edi Rama.
