Albanian police take part at Interpol assembly

TIRANA, Oct 12 – Albanian vice Interior Minister Gent Strazimiri and top policeman Ahmet Prenci took part at the 77th assembly of the Interpol held in the Russian city of St. Petersburg.
The meeting served for meetings with different counterparts to help intensification of the ties and also joint reaction to the fight against organized crime and terrorism.
Cooperation in the last three years was considered as a successful one.
Interpol also helped Albanian authorities for the production of the new identity cards and the biometric passports, a process that will practically start next year.
