Smaller opposition party condemns both big political groupings

TIRANA, Oct 14 0 The Socialist Movement for Integration of former premier Ilir Meta condemned the moves from the governing Democratic Party of Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the main opposition Socialist Party of Tirana Mayor Edi Rama for their collaboration in drafting the new electoral code.
The SMI said that the country had entered a very dangerous path through their collaboration and they denounced the cooperation on the new electoral code.
The SMI and other smaller parties immediately condemned and did not approve of the constitutional amendments passed by the two main parties in April saying the new voting system _ a regional proportional one _ aimed at leaving aside smaller parties and concentrating the power in the hands of the two main groupings.
The SMI also threaten of launching a series of street protests.
