Albanian drug dealers arrested in Italy

TIRANA, Nov 3 – Italian police have arrested a group of Albanians involved in drug trafficking.
Twenty-four persons, including Albanians, were arrested in Calabria as part of a gang trafficking drugs from Albania to Italy and beyond to western Europe.
Police said the head of the group was Saveria Maglaria, 58, closely connected with a family in the northern Albanian city of Shkodra.
In another operation in Siena, Italian police arrested nine Albanians, including three women, and confiscated 12 kg of cocaine.
