Kosova, Albania on territorial integrity

TIRANA, Dec 1 – A resolution of the parliamentary foreign affairs committees from Kosova and Albania made it clear that the United Nations and the European Union should cooperate with the Kosovar institutions while deploying the EULEX mission based on the Ahtisaari plan and the Kosova Constitution.
It said that a situation that did not respect Kosovar’s sovereignty would hold dangers of territorial partition for an independent state Šand a long destabilization not only for Kosova but for the whole region.
Albania has made clear that it also wanted the EULEX mission to be installed as soon as possible in Kosova but in line with the Kosovar constitution and the Ahtisaari plan.
Albania has also said that any hint of the UN 6-point plan on Kosova’s partition would become dangerous for the whole region.
