TIRANA, Dec 8 – The French Parliamentary Assembly unanimously approved the Agreement of Stabilization and Association between Albanian and European Communities last week, a move that was followed by a review on the progress made in Albania.
The ratification also demonstrates France’s appreciation for Albania’s achievements.
France is the 24th country to ratify the SAA with Albania.
Greece is expected to be the last country to begin the process of ratification. Germany has to complete its final stages.
Albania signed the SAA with the European Union in 2006. Following this complete ratification, it may ask to start candidacy status negotiations with the EU.
