TIRANA, Dec 10 – The Office of Citizen Protection issued a poll on corruption just a day ahead of the international day to fight corruption.
Unemployment, corruption and property issues were the three main concerns of those questioned in the poll.
The poll showed that citizens want a stronger concern from themselves about corruption, followed by the attention of the media and then the government.
The main concern also seems regarding the rule of law, the way laws are implemented and the lack of political will.
The poll showed that the strongest fight against corruption was conducted by the media and the civil society.
But those polled were very unclear about the role of the opposition and the government in this fight. They are also very skeptical about justice, the courts and the prosecutor’s office.
