Spain, Czech Republic ratify Albania’s NATO membership protocol

TIRANA, Dec 17 – Madrid and Prague became the next capitals to offer their inviting hand to Tirana to become a full NATO member.
The Spanish Senate and the Czech parliament ratified Wednesday the NATO membership protocol Albania signed in July, after getting the membership invitation earlier.
There are 13 NATO member countries, out of 26, that have completed this process. All of them should ratify it before Albania may hope for full membership, likely at NATO’s next summit in April.
