TIRANA, Oct 28 – The government removed Ahmet Prenci from the post of the head of police to replace him with Hysni Burgaj.
It was learnt off-the-record that Prenci had resigned some days ago due to personal reasons. Prenci has led police during the last four years. He is to be adviser to the interior minister.
Burgaj, 49, has had a growing police career starting in Kukes, then in Gjirokastra to be named as deputy police head last year.
