Tirana, Prishtina sign deal on air traffic

PRISHTINA, Dec. 21 – Kosovo Minister of Transport and Post-Telecommunications, Fatmir Limaj, and his visiting Albanian counterpart, Sokol Olldashi, on Monday signed the memorandum of cooperation between the two countries.
This memorandum increased cooperation between the two countries along their efforts to meet appropriate standards at the opening of high air spaces. Such an agreement requires the support of NATO.
The two ministers also discussed bilateral issues and further steps of cooperation
They also discussed further cooperation regarding infrastructure. Albania is already working on a highway linking the two countries and Kosovo has said it will soon start the work on its part, a link that is to take to the country to central European neighbors.
The two countries are also to sign soon an agreement on road transport, the ministers said.
